Hello, I’m Christine Walter—a psychotherapist, certified ICF life coach, and former professional tennis player—offering a unique, results-driven approach to mental health and personal growth. With over a decade of experience, I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and couples therapy, helping individuals and partners navigate life’s complexities with greater ease and clarity. My journey from elite athletics to psychotherapy has deeply informed my understanding of stress, immense pressure, and the demands of high-performance environments. As a former All-American tennis player and professional competitor on the satellite tour, I know firsthand the toll that relentless expectations and internal pressures can take on mental well-being. This lived experience allows me to connect with clients who are facing similar challenges—whether in their careers, relationships, or personal lives—with empathy and practical insight. I am trained in Solution-Focused Therapy, an empowering, goal-oriented modality that emphasizes actionable steps and tangible progress. Combined with my certification through the International Coaching Federation (ICF), I bridge the best of therapy and coaching to provide an integrated, transformative experience. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I am passionate about helping clients move beyond feeling stuck—whether in the grip of anxiety, the weight of depression, the challenges of ADHD, or the complexities of intimate relationships. Together, we’ll build on your strengths, create realistic strategies, and foster resilience so you can experience meaningful, lasting change. Therapy with me is more than a place to talk—it’s a place to grow, strengthen, and thrive. I welcome you to reach out and take the first step toward greater emotional clarity, connection, and fulfillment.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

What to Expect in Your First Session Our first session together is all about laying the groundwork for meaningful change. It’s a time for us to get to know each other and to start building the kind of trust and collaboration that makes therapy truly effective. Here’s what you can expect: A Warm, Welcoming Environment First and foremost, you’ll be met with empathy, curiosity, and zero judgment. Whether you’re feeling nervous, unsure what to say, or overwhelmed by where to begin, that’s completely okay. I’ll guide the conversation so you don’t feel pressured to have it all figured out. Understanding Your Story We’ll spend time exploring what brings you to therapy right now. I’ll ask open-ended questions to understand your current challenges—whether it’s anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship concerns, or something else—as well as your strengths, background, and life context. Clarifying Your Goals Together, we’ll begin identifying what you hope to gain from therapy. Maybe you want to reduce anxiety, improve your relationship, manage ADHD more effectively, or regain a sense of motivation and joy. Your goals will shape our work, and I’ll help you frame them in clear, actionable ways. Explaining the Process I’ll walk you through how I work, including my integrated approach using Solution-Focused Therapy and coaching strategies. I’ll explain confidentiality, answer any questions you have about the therapeutic process, and make sure you feel clear about what’s ahead. Next Steps By the end of the session, we’ll discuss a roadmap for moving forward—whether that’s weekly sessions, a focus area for next time, or initial strategies you can begin practicing right away. Most importantly, the first session is about connection: making sure you feel comfortable, heard, and hopeful about the journey ahead.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My Greatest Strengths as a Provider One of my greatest strengths is my ability to blend deep empathy with a clear, results-oriented approach. I genuinely care about my clients’ well-being and create a warm, nonjudgmental space where people feel safe to open up and explore their challenges. At the same time, I’m highly focused on helping clients move forward—not just understanding why they feel stuck, but developing practical, tailored strategies to create real, lasting change. My background as a professional athlete has also shaped my ability to understand pressure, resilience, and performance on a deep level. I bring that same mindset of focus, discipline, and mental agility into my therapeutic work, which resonates especially well with clients who are high achievers or navigating demanding life circumstances. Additionally, my dual training as a licensed psychotherapist and an ICF-certified coach allows me to integrate both clinical depth and action-oriented coaching. This means I can meet clients where they are—whether they need healing, personal insight, relationship support, or concrete tools for growth—and adapt flexibly as their needs evolve. I am also skilled at seeing patterns quickly, simplifying complex emotional dynamics, and offering clarity. Many clients have told me that I ask the right questions—the ones that get to the heart of the matter—and that they feel both supported and challenged in a way that sparks real progress. Above all, I am deeply committed to the process. I bring consistency, presence, and genuine investment in each client’s journey, always aiming to empower them to create meaningful, sustainable transformation.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

ou’re someone who carries a lot—more than most people even realize. On the outside, you might seem put-together, capable, even successful by many standards. But underneath, there’s often a quiet battle: anxiety that won’t let up, waves of sadness or depression that sneak in despite your best efforts, or the constant, exhausting swirl of an ADHD mind trying to keep everything straight. Maybe you're navigating a demanding career, feeling the relentless pull of expectations, deadlines, and pressures that never seem to ease. You might be an entrepreneur, a high achiever, or simply someone who holds themselves to impossibly high standards. Or perhaps you’re in a relationship that feels stuck, strained, or in need of healing—wanting so badly to feel connected, heard, and understood again. You’ve probably been the strong one for a long time. People look to you for answers, for steadiness, for support. You’re the problem solver, the doer, the one who keeps it all together. But inside, you know something has to shift. You’re tired of spinning your wheels, tired of managing symptoms instead of solving the root, tired of feeling like you're just getting by instead of thriving. And here’s the thing: you’re ready. You’re not looking for endless talk sessions with no clear direction. You’re looking for a therapist who gets it—someone who understands not just the clinical side of things, but also what it feels like to live under immense pressure, to chase big goals, and to struggle quietly beneath the surface. That’s where I come in. I know what it’s like to face down pressure and expectation. My background as a professional athlete means I’ve lived the experience of high performance, the grind of constant improvement, and the sting of setbacks. I’ve felt the weight of perfectionism and the silent toll it can take on your mental and emotional well-being. And through years of deep clinical work, I’ve helped people just like you—people who are high-functioning on the outside but inwardly longing for relief, clarity, and a deeper sense of fulfillment. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety that hijacks your focus and energy, depression that dulls your spark, ADHD that makes everyday tasks feel like uphill battles, or relationship challenges that leave you feeling disconnected and misunderstood, I want you to know: real change is possible. You’re my dream client because you’re motivated. You don’t need someone to rescue you—you need someone who can partner with you to
