My name is Kiley and I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I have been working in the mental health field since 2011. I have medication management experience with all ages in both inpatient and outpatient settings and have treated anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance abuse, ADHD, schizophrenia and many other diagnoses. I work alongside my clients to help determine the best medication to treat their current symptoms to help them work toward a supported and rewarding life.
In our first session, we will go over intake information and treatment background. We will discuss previous medication trials and what worked or did not work for you in the past. We will make a plan going forward to determine if medication changes are necessary and follow up accordingly. You can decide during that session if you feel that we will be able to work together for medication management ongoing.
My strength in this field lies in my ability to hear you, understand your feelings about the medication you are taking and adjust accordingly to make sure we help decrease symptoms with minimal side effects. I strive to be an active listener and often receive feedback from clients that they feel I truly care about their success and am supportive through the ups and downs of this process.
I enjoy meeting clients where they are in their mental health goals and support honest feedback to help us determine together what medication may best suit them in their day to day life. I love clients who are open to suggestions, eager to make changes and willing to work collaboratively on medication changes so that they can live successful lives with minimal medication issues.
I have been trained in motivational interviewing and use it daily to assess where someone is in their change process so that I can best support them for future growth and progress.
