Life can sometimes be overbearing and the daily obligations and responsibilities can cause emotional strains that often weighs you down. Navigating through life’s challenges can place you on a road block with the uncertainty of which direction you should go. Taking the first step in the direction of therapy can allow you to use your internal compass in unveiling what we may never have known could exist within us - courage. In our journey together, you will gain insight into your strengths, values, and priorities while also exploring new adaptive coping mechanisms and problem-solving skills.
As a professional counselor I will guide you in the support and experiences, providing you with a safe space for you to share your thoughts, feelings, & emotions. Together, we'll find ways for you to heal, grow, and move forward in life.
I am passionate about helping adults overcome the negative effects of stress and experiences in life that may plague in ones’ thoughts, feelings, or behaviors.
Anxiety is defined as a feeling of fear, dread, nervousness, or simply being uneased. Anxiety for some may last months to years and if left untreated can lead to an unpredictable life of agitation, panic restlessness, as well as other health and psychological factors. While in therapy I will provide you with evidence based treatment modalities to tackle the patterns of behaviors to improve the areas of root cause. Some treatment modalities to consider would be Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I have extensive knowledge and training with wellness and stress management, as I have worked with many professional adults who tackle the day to day routine of having a career and balancing life. I’m passionate about helping you to renew a fulfilled life balance and improve one’s sense of purpose and whole-being.
I utilize and have over ten years of training and knowledge in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance Therapy, and Solution-Focused modalities. Each treatment plan is tailored to the overall objective and goal of the client which is a center-based approach. This essentially means that every client will have a unique evidence based practice approach to guide and enrich the effectiveness of change which is being sought.
