Hi I am Brittany currently practicing in Texas. I graduated with my Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2019. I have previously worked in residential, IOP, and corrections. I have experience working with individuals, couples, families, and minors who are struggling with issues such as depression, stress, anxiety, trauma responses, sexual concerns, and relationship issues. Do you have changes you wish to make to improve overall mental and emotional health? Beginning therapy can be a challenging first step to making desired changes in life. My goal is to help you learn lifelong coping skills that are necessary for making these desired changes. Exploring thoughts and feelings, practicing self-reflection, gaining greater self-acceptance, and learning ways to improve communication are some techniques I incorporate into therapy. I utilize a combination of collaborative and integrative therapy to aid you on your journey of self-healing, changed behaviors, and personal growth. Together we can find and create balance. I work hard to make sure that you feel safe and supported during this journey. If you feel like we may be a good fit, please do not hesitate to reach out. Asking for help may be the hardest part but the only way out is through. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have and look forward to being a part of your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I am a big believer in you playing an active role in treatment. We will spend some time discussing your goals and expectations for therapy, as well as what underlies your thought patterns and behaviors. Together, we will construct treatment goals by identifying what you want to achieve. I typically break this up into attainable short-term and long-term goals. Throughout our journey we will focus on making progress toward your goals by setting deadlines and milestones. You will learn lifelong coping skills that you can apply now and throughout life when things become challenging. I will teach you skills that will help you become more self-aware, better regulate emotions, improve relationships, and set healthy boundaries.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I typically work with clients experiencing depression, stress, anxiety, trauma responses, and relationship issues. I have a passion for sex therapy and also wok with clients experiencing issues with sexual identify, sexual health, and intimacy concerns.
