New to Grow
Hello, as a counselor I am passionate about supporting people through life’s challenges. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, welcoming space where you can be yourself, explore your experiences, and find new ways forward. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping clients manage stress, anxiety, grief, and relationship struggles while also discovering strengths they didn’t realize they had. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs, whether that means learning new coping strategies, reframing unhelpful thoughts, or simply having a space to talk through what’s on your mind. I see counseling as a journey we take together, where small steps can lead to meaningful and lasting change. If you’re looking for someone who will listen with compassion and guide you with practical tools, I’d be honored to walk alongside you in this process.
Starting therapy can feel a little overwhelming, so I focus on making your first session comfortable and supportive. We’ll spend our time getting to know each other, talking about what brings you to therapy, and discussing what you’d like to get out of our work together. I’ll ask some questions about your history, current challenges, and goals, but you’re always in control of what you choose to share. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel heard and understood, without pressure or judgment. By the end of the first session, we’ll begin to outline a plan tailored to your needs, so you’ll leave with a sense of direction and hope about the process ahead.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is creating a safe, supportive space where you feel truly heard and understood. I use evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique needs, to help you build practical coping skills and healthier patterns. Clients often find my style both compassionate and actionable, giving them tools they can use in daily life. My goal is to help you feel more confident, resilient, and empowered to create lasting change.
I work best with clients who are ready to make positive changes in their lives, even if they’re not quite sure where to start. Many of the people I support are navigating stress, anxiety, grief, or big life transitions and are looking for a safe space to sort through their emotions. Others come to therapy feeling stuck in negative patterns, struggling with relationships, or wanting to build healthier coping skills. I especially enjoy working with individuals who value personal growth and are open to learning new strategies to feel more balanced and in control. Whether your goal is to quiet anxious thoughts, set healthy boundaries, process loss, or simply find more peace day to day, I will meet you where you are and walk alongside you. Together, we can build a path toward relief, clarity, and confidence in creating the life you want.
In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you look at the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Sometimes the way we think about a situation can make us feel worse or act in ways that don’t help. CBT gives us tools to recognize unhelpful patterns and practice new ways of thinking and responding so you can feel more in control and improve how you cope day to day.
In my practice, I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you learn skills for managing strong emotions, handling stress, and improving your relationships. DBT gives us practical tools like mindfulness, calming strategies, and communication skills, that you can practice in real life to feel more balanced and in control.
