Her clinical work centers creativity, flexibility, and freedom as folks find their way to goals that work for them.
First session
Our first session will respectfully explore what brings you to therapy, knowing that listening and letting you know that you were heard is my first and most important work before we do anything else. This is typically done through an intake process in which we mutually explore whether I am a good fit for the therapeutic work you want to do.
Strengths
My clinical work centers creativity, flexibility, and freedom as folks find their way to goals that work for them.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is willing to take a journey to learn more about their strengths, concerns, and how to increase awareness and understanding of what brought them here, while cultivating an enhanced toolkit to navigate the present and pursue new possibilities for self-awareness, self-compassion, and exploration of changes they may seek to make in their own lives.
Treatment methods
Eclectic
I center creativity in our work and have participated in training to continually build my understanding and awareness of tools that facilitate human growth and healing. Given my extensive experience working with an array of persons who hold different identities and have different clinical concerns, in private practice, and primary care settings, I've had the opportunity for over more than a decade to learn and utilize many treatment methods. A sample of those include: Psycho-dynamic therapy interventions, Solution Focused Interventions, Internal Family Systems interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions, Grief and Loss Interventions, Behavioral Activation interventions, Narrative Therapy interventions, Motivational Interviewing interventions, Sand Tray/Play therapy for adults interventions, and Relaxation Techniques. I am also a certified trauma therapist and certified meditation teacher.
Compassion-Focused
I center compassion in my practice and view clients as the experts on their lives. I view myself as a facilitator/clinician that offers compassion and other tools to help clients learn more about the menu the may have already selected for themselves and/or expand options.
Strength-Based
I deeply hold that folks have strengths and arrive with them for use no matter what intervention/s we agree to use to address given concerns.
Psychodynamic
The tree we are now has roots and sometimes we glance back to gather information so we can explore, grow and set a course onward. This treatment method has useful tools that enable this part of the journey.
