Susana Atsatt
Susana is a bilingual (Spanish & English) Therapist. She is committed to helping people work toward their goals, heal emotional wounds, and achieve more clarity, meaning, and/or agency in their lives. She incorporates client center/humanistic therapeutic approach and integrates meditation, mindfulness, art therapy, depth psychology, trauma-focused therapy, as well as coping skills building for a holistic experience. Her areas of research include International native Shamanism and Quantum healing. Susana believes the first step towards healing and transformation is having the desire to move from emotional pain and maladaptive behaviors, and into empowerment, autonomy, and self-realization. Inner work is not an easy path but is often the most rewarding and lasting.
First session
Clarity on what therapy would look like, clearly identify focus of our work together, a safe space to identify emotional triggers leading to symptoms, and learn tools to mange symptoms.
Strengths
People who've experienced traumatic events in their lives tend to identify or see themselves from the traumatic lens. This distorted lens is ever-present in peoples' relationships, interactions and even how they see themselves, and it can prevent them from creating meaningful relationships or having a healthy sense of belonging. Through the therapeutic process, people can identify what maladaptive behaviors getting in the way of living a meaningful life, and discover their authenticity.
