New to Grow
I'm a trauma‑informed therapist and U.S. military veteran dedicated to helping individuals and couples strengthen their emotional and relational well‑being. My practice focuses on sex therapy, couples counseling, and women's wellness, with a commitment to creating a safe, affirming space where clients can explore intimacy, identity, and connection without judgment. I also proudly serve fellow veterans, offering culturally aware support for the unique challenges of military service, reintegration, and relationship transitions.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We will discuss what led you to seek therapy, explore your personal history, and talk about your strengths and challenges. My goal is to build rapport and ensure that you feel comfortable as you work towards your goals.
I believe that healing begins with understanding rather than judgment. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and customized to your unique experiences. Together, we will explore the patterns that may be influencing your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and responses to stress. Additionally, we will develop practical tools that support lasting change. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, attachment-based therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy, among others. Instead of using a one-size-fits-all strategy, every treatment plan is tailored to support your individual goals and healing journey.
My ideal client is someone eager to explore themselves more deeply. They may be navigating challenges such as stress, trauma, relationship issues, intimacy concerns, or a growing sense of disconnection from themselves or their partner. Many of my clients are women seeking emotional clarity, stronger boundaries, and a healthier relationship with their bodies, identities, and desires. Others are couples striving to rebuild trust, improve communication, reconnect sexually, or break long-standing patterns that keep them stuck. Most importantly, my ideal client desires a collaborative and compassionate therapeutic relationship. They are ready to grow, willing to be honest, and open to learning new ways of relating to themselves and others. They don’t need to have everything figured out; they simply need to be willing to show up and take the next step toward healing, connection, and emotional freedom.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients notice the patterns between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Many people come in feeling stuck in worry, self‑criticism, or old habits that no longer serve them. Together, we identify these patterns and practice new ways of thinking and responding that support confidence, emotional balance, and healthier communication.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) helps clients embrace difficult emotions rather than struggle against them. I use this approach to help clients cultivate self-compassion, remain present, and make choices that align with their values. This method is particularly beneficial for women, veterans, and couples who feel overwhelmed and wish to reconnect with what truly matters to them.
Attachment-based
Attachment-based therapy helps us understand how early life experiences influence our ability to connect, trust, and communicate in relationships today. I use this perspective to assist clients in exploring their needs, fears, and patterns in intimacy—both emotional and sexual—so they can build safer and more secure connections with themselves and others.
Compassion Focused
I use Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) to help clients build a kinder and more supportive relationship with themselves. Many individuals enter therapy burdened by self-criticism, shame, or the belief that they “should be stronger” or “shouldn’t feel this way.” CFT encourages us to gently challenge these beliefs and replace them with understanding, patience, and emotional safety.
Couples Counseling
In my work with couples, I help partners slow down, communicate more clearly, and understand each other’s emotional and relational needs. We explore the cycles that keep them feeling stuck, strengthen trust, and rebuild both emotional and physical intimacy. My approach is collaborative, direct, and supportive, guiding couples to create healthier patterns and a deeper sense of connection. Overall, my goal is to create an environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and supported as they move towards healing, growth, and more fulfilling relationships.
