Hi! My name is Lindsey Walker, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) practicing in California’s Bay Area. With a decade of experience, I focus on helping late adolescents and adults address issues related to anxiety, stress, and relationships. By integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Relational Therapy, I guide clients toward meaningful progress and lasting relief. I look forward to working collaboratively to support your well-being.
Now is the time to share your story! The best way for me to understand you is by listening to your experiences, insights, and why you’ve chosen therapy at this point in your life. I may ask clarifying questions to get a deeper sense of who you are, and I invite you to ask any questions about my approach. This is also a good moment for us to explore your expectations for therapy.
I’ve been told I create a space where clients feel comfortable, at ease, and free to be their authentic selves. My communication style is conversational, sprinkled with humor, and always grounded in empathy. I bring curiosity and a non-judgmental attitude to each session, establishing a strong foundation of trust that helps clients open up and make meaningful progress.
I’ve found my therapeutic style resonates with late adolescents and gen z/millennial adults who face relationship challenges, life transitions, work stress, or overwhelming social pressures. These issues often bring stress, anxiety, and a sense of defeat. I help clients address these feelings by developing the skills needed to navigate life’s transitions and by building confidence in their ability to make healthy decisions for themselves.
I’ve been practicing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for the past ten years and have seen many clients successfully challenge negative thoughts and manage anxiety or depression. Together, we’ll explore how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. Then, we’ll use those insights to shift your thinking patterns and help you live with less stress.
I incorporate Christian Counseling by addressing the emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of well-being. I’ll explore your spiritual background, beliefs, and preferences to ensure faith-based interventions respect your values and comfort level. This holistic approach helps reinforce coping strategies and fosters a deeper sense of hope.
