New to Grow
I believe every teen deserves a safe space to be heard, understood, and supported. In my practice, I help adolescents work through anxiety, stress, self-esteem challenges, relationship difficulties, and life transitions while building the skills they need to thrive. My goal is to create an environment where teens feel comfortable being themselves and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
The first session is all about getting to know you. We'll talk about what's been going on in your life, the challenges you're facing, and what you hope to gain from therapy. There is no pressure to share everything right away—we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we'll begin identifying goals and creating a plan that supports your growth and well-being.
I recognize that therapy can feel intimidating, especially for teens. One of my strengths is creating a relaxed and genuine environment where young people feel comfortable being themselves, discussing difficult experiences, and working toward their goals at their own pace.
The teens I connect with most are those who are carrying a lot on their shoulders. They may be dealing with anxiety, sadness, self-doubt, academic pressure, relationship struggles, or major life changes. Often, they want things to feel different but aren't sure where to start. I help teens make sense of their experiences, develop healthy coping skills, and build the confidence to move forward in a way that feels authentic to them.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help teens better understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, build healthy coping skills, and develop practical strategies for managing challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem concerns, peer relationships, and school-related pressures. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and age-appropriate, helping teens gain confidence, improve emotional regulation, and develop skills they can use in everyday life.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I incorporate ACT to help teens manage difficult thoughts and emotions, build mindfulness skills, and develop greater resilience. This approach encourages teens to focus less on fighting uncomfortable feelings and more on taking meaningful actions that support their goals, values, and overall well-being.
