Hi there! I'm Renae. Is your child struggling to cope with life's every day emotions? Are they struggling to manage their anger? Or engaging in negative behaviors at school? Sometimes children and adolescents need additional support to learn how to navigate life's challenges and peer influences. I also enjoy working with young adults who may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, life transitions, or the pressures of early adulthood. I specialize in engaging with children, adolescents and young adults through utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Play Therapy. I have experience providing therapy to individuals of all ages in an office setting, residential care, in their school and at home. Life is overwhelming. Scheduling that first appointment can be a daunting task, but you are so brave for even considering taking this next step. You deserve to reach your highest potential. Let's work together!
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
At the first session, clients can expect to review all initial intake documents that will be emailed to you. We will simply get to know each other and gather necessary history. We will discuss the plan moving forward with how often you would like to schedule appointments and treatment goals to be working toward.
The treatment methods and tools I utilize
I specialize in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and am working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Going to therapy can be scary. It's so important that you are able to feel heard by your therapist and are met with compassion. I am here to walk alongside you with compassion as you navigate through various challenges. We will work together to identify unhelpful thought patterns and process through the potential root of where they may be coming from, as well as working together to challenge those unhelpful thoughts.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Children and adolescents struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, anger management, self esteem
