Do you find yourself over thinking, over-reacting, procrastinating and or second guessing yourself? Has your inner critic taken control of your thought patterns, making it difficult for you to live your very best life? My name is Marsha Hicks- Richards and as a therapist, my objective is to assist with re-aligning you with your strengths and power. Beginning therapy means different things to different people, but it is often an action of courage, hope, self-care, and self-determination. I also have years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorders. I incorporate a holistic approach while utilizing DBT, CBT, Schema Therapy, Inner Child and Mindfulness Techniques.
I will provide you with a safe, non-judgmental space to process and work through unhealed emotional wounds so that you can experience mental wellness and feelings of connectedness to yourself and with others. I have experience with all types of issues including grief and loss, crisis stabilization, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma childhood disorders, and addictions
I incorporate a holistic approach while utilizing DBT, CBT, Schema Therapy and Mindfulness Techniques.
One of my biggest strengths includes using inner-child therapy to help clients connect to and communicate with their inner child and to process trauma or other maladaptive states. I am attuned to the client, I pay attention to their verbal and non-verbal communication, and to listen without judgement. I am able to put aside my personal beliefs and opinions and treat each client with respect and dignity.
