New to Grow
Hi, I’m Kirstie and I believe that you are the expert of your own story. Within you already exist the strengths, resilience, and insight needed to move through life’s challenges. Sometimes we just need support in reconnecting with them. Reaching out for help takes courage, and I’m honored to walk alongside you as you take that step toward a more fulfilling, balanced, and meaningful life. If you’re ready to begin, or even just considering it, I’m here to support you. You don’t have to navigate this alone. Let’s work together to help you build the life you deserve.
Our first session is all about you, your comfort, and your pace. We will get to know each other and better understand what your goals are. We will also explore the type of therapeutic space that you thrive in so that you can get the most out of your treatment.
I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you feel truly seen and heard. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you, it’s about understanding you. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, patterns, and emotions in a way that fosters insight, healing, and lasting growth. My client-centered approach focuses on understanding the “why” behind your thoughts and reactions. When we explore the roots of your patterns, we gain clarity and with clarity comes the power to choose new, healthier responses. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and at ease within yourself.
I am able to serve those who suffer from different types of anxiety, creative individuals and those exploring their gender identity, those looking for a better work-life balance, those who are suffering from grief and the many forms that it can take, professionals navigating career transitions, those who have served or are serving who need a safe space to process all that is involved, and ultimately anyone who is open to exploring their emotions and how they navigate them to grow mentally at their own pace.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have utilized CBT consistently over the past 10 years to support clients in identifying and restructuring unwanted thought patterns. My approach integrates evidence-based CBT interventions to address a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related symptoms. Through collaborative goal-setting and skill-building, I help clients develop practical strategies to improve emotional regulation and overall functioning.
Grief Therapy
I have provided grief therapy for the past 10 years, supporting clients as they navigate loss and the complex emotions that accompany it. My approach is grounded in creating a compassionate, client-centered space where individuals can process their grief at their own pace. Through meaning-making, emotional expression, and coping skill development, I help clients adjust to loss and move toward healing.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I have incorporated mindfulness-based therapy into my clinical practice for the past 10 years to support clients in increasing present-moment awareness and emotional regulation. My approach integrates mindfulness techniques such as grounding, breathwork, and nonjudgmental observation to address concerns including anxiety, stress, and trauma-related symptoms. Through consistent practice and skill-building, I help clients cultivate greater self-awareness, resilience, and acceptance.
Gender-affirming therapy
I have provided gender-affirming therapy for the past 10 years, supporting clients in exploring and embracing their gender identity in a safe and validating space. My approach is rooted in affirming care, incorporating psychoeducation, identity exploration, and support through social and medical transition processes as appropriate. Through collaborative and client-centered work, I help individuals build self-acceptance, resilience, and overall well-being.
