Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida and have over 20 years of experience. I believe that people are meant to live life to its fullest and not just go through the motions. I firmly believe in practicing mindfulness and gratitude daily. We all have something to be grateful for! Life can be challenging, and the pandemic has exacerbated things. At times, all of the pressure and stress can be overwhelming. I am here to help you get through this difficult time. Whether it be grief, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, job performance or finding your purpose in life we can figure things out together. You don't have to do this alone! I like to use a person-centered approach so my clients can take the lead with their concerns and address what they want to talk about during sessions.
Our first session will consist of introductions and building rapport. I complete a biopsychosocial so I can get a good picture of your childhood and current situation. We will discuss goals and what YOU want to get out of therapy. I want to know what YOU want to achieve and how that will look at the end of treatment.
In my practice I utilize psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, humanistic, behavioral, person-centered and existential therapy. We will work on coping skills during sessions that you can utilize on your own. I occasionally send my clients articles and worksheets for educational purposes.
Clients will find one of my biggest strengths is to be how easy I am to speak with and how easily we can build a rapport. I am empathetic and understanding with my clients. I am very open minded, caring and compassionate. My approach is easy going, informal, and nonjudgmental. I have multiple years of experience working with individuals with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues and job-related issues. Book an appointment so we can get started!
