If you're living with a serious illness, caring for someone who is, or navigating a loss that has changed everything — you already know that the hardest part isn't always the medical reality. It's the fear that doesn't leave. The exhaustion of staying strong. The feeling that you should be "over it" by now, but aren't. I've been there. After recovering from my own serious illness, I found my way back to myself — and that experience is at the heart of everything I bring to this work. For years I've specialized in supporting people navigating cancer, serious illness, and profound loss — and for the past several years I've been doing that work through Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a gentle, evidence-based approach that helps your brain reprocess painful memories and images without requiring you to relive them out loud. Many clients experience significant relief in just one to three sessions. You don't have to keep managing fear. There's a way through it. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling lighter — not just heard, but actually shifted.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We'll start by getting to know each other a little, and then I'll ask you to share what's been weighing on you most. I'm not here to evaluate you — I'm here to understand what you're carrying and begin working on it with you right away. Most clients tell me they leave the first session feeling something they didn't expect: relief.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring something to this work that can't be taught — I know what it feels like to be afraid in your own body, to wonder if things will ever feel normal again, and to find your way back. That lived experience means I don't just understand your fear intellectually. I understand it from the inside. I'm warm and direct. I won't just reflect your words back at you — I'll gently help you shift them. And I believe that healing, while sometimes hard, doesn't have to be heavy all the time.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who has been through something life-altering — a cancer diagnosis, a serious illness, the loss of someone they love — and who is ready to stop just surviving and start actually living again. You may have already tried talk therapy or medication and found them helpful, but not quite enough. You still can't fully relax. The fear is still there. You're tired of carrying it, and you're open to something different. ART is particularly well-suited for people who don't want to spend months rehashing painful details — because you don't have to. The approach works directly with the nervous system, and many clients go from feeling overwhelmed and hopeless to experiencing genuine calm, even joy, in a single session. If you're someone who is ready to feel better — not just cope better — I'd love to work with you.

My treatment methods

Integrative

I specialize in helping people move through painful experiences — whether that's a cancer diagnosis, grief, trauma, or the kind of chronic fear that follows a life-altering event. Using Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), I help your brain do something it hasn't been able to do on its own: process what happened and file it away as the past — so it stops hijacking your present. You don't have to talk through every detail or relive what you've been through. ART works directly with the nervous system, and most clients experience meaningful, lasting relief within four to six sessions. What surprises people most is how quickly things can shift. Memories and images that once felt overwhelming begin to lose their emotional charge. You can think about what happened without it pulling you under. And you start to feel like yourself again — not the version of you that's been bracing for the next blow, but the version that actually gets to live.

Patricia is very calm and focused as a provider. She guides me to productively heal based on the answers I give, and I leave every session feeling like I have accomplished whatever goal I come in with. She also does a great job with making ART online a seamless process. I retain long-term effects of our sessions each time, and I am thankful for her impact.
