(she/they)
Hola y Bienvenidos! My name is Ivette Soto, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor offering tele-health services to adults 18 and over. My services are available in both English and Spanish. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and life adjustments, and I have extensive experience working with with autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, behavioral concerns, and other related disabilities as a Registered Behavioral Therapist. I believe that seeking support is a sign of strength, and I am here to help you navigate through life's challenges. As your therapist, I will evaluate your needs and provide evidence-based psychotherapy to help you cope with various life challenges, all while providing a compassionate and non-judgmental space for you to heal and grow. I understand that reaching out for support can be daunting, and I commend you for taking the first step. Thank you for considering me as your therapist, and I look forward to working with you!
In our first session together, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and heard—just as you are. You can expect a gentle and collaborative conversation where we’ll get to know one another. I’ll ask some questions to better understand what’s bringing you in, what’s been weighing on your heart or mind, and what you’re hoping to gain from therapy.
I utilize evidence based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Behavioral Activation Therapy (BAT), while integrating Person Centered Therapy techniques. As my client we will explore your thoughts and feelings, identify and change thought patterns, gain a better understanding of your behaviors, and learn and develop coping skills.
I believe my biggest strengths are my ability to develop interpersonal relationships, relay empathy, provide compassionate care, and display multicultural competence.
I am best positioned to support adults over the age of 18 who are navigating the challenges of anxiety, depression, life transitions, postpartum changes, grief, and interpersonal relationship difficulties.
