(she/her)
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 30 years of experience helping adults navigate life's challenges, transitions, and opportunities for growth. I believe that every person has a story, and sometimes the stories we tell ourselves can keep us feeling stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about the future. That's why I call myself The Story Shifter—because healing often begins when we discover new ways of understanding our experiences and ourselves. Together, we will explore the experiences that have shaped your life with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment. As we gain insight into old patterns and beliefs, new possibilities can emerge. By shifting perspective, we can find meaning in difficult experiences, reconnect with our strengths, and create a more fulfilling path forward. My approach is holistic and integrative, honoring the connection between mind and body. I help clients find clarity, resilience, and a deeper sense of purpose and well-being.
In our work together, you can expect a safe, supportive space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. I want to learn about your life story, the challenges that brought you to therapy, and what you hope to achieve. Together, we'll determine whether we're a good fit and create a path forward that feels right for you. I take an active, collaborative approach to therapy, partnering with you to support your goals while honoring your unique pace and process. Clients often appreciate my compassionate, intuitive, and nonjudgmental style, which helps foster trust, insight, and meaningful growth. By combining evidence-based practices with a holistic mind-body approach, I help clients identify unhelpful patterns, develop new perspectives, and create lasting positive change.
My greatest strengths include being compassionate, empathic, and deeply present with clients, creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where they feel truly heard. I’m an active listener with an intuitive, person-centered approach, and I’m gentle while also skilled at helping clients shift unhelpful patterns and perspectives. I take an active, collaborative role in therapy, integrating evidence-based practices with a holistic lens to support meaningful, lasting change at each client’s own pace.
My ideal clients are adults ages 30 and older who have the courage to go inward and engage in meaningful emotional healing. They are self-motivated, open to self-reflection, and ready to make lasting change. I work best with individuals who want to be active participants in the therapy process and are committed to personal growth, healing, and greater self-awareness—through adulthood and into later life.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is based on the idea that our interpretations of situations influence our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented, focusing on identifying clear goals and breaking problems into manageable steps. I help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns, understand the link between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop more balanced thinking.
Integrative
Integrative psychotherapy with a holistic approach combines techniques from multiple therapy models while treating the whole person—mind, body, emotions, relationships, and life context. It tailors treatment to each individual, focusing on overall well-being, balance, and long-term healing rather than just symptom reduction.
Somatic
Somatic techniques in psychotherapy focus on the connection between the mind and body, recognizing that emotional experiences—especially stress and trauma—are often stored and expressed physically. Rather than working only through thoughts and language, somatic approaches help clients become aware of bodily sensations, movement, posture, breathing, and nervous system responses. These techniques may include grounding exercises, breathwork, body awareness, gentle movement, and tracking physical sensations to help regulate emotions and reduce distress. By engaging the body directly, somatic techniques support nervous system regulation, increase emotional awareness, and promote a sense of safety, helping clients process experiences in a more integrated and embodied way.
