I’m a seasoned Licensed Clinical Social Worker and would love to help you. I specialize in depression, anxiety and grief counseling. With years spent walking alongside individuals in their most vulnerable moments, I've come to understand the profound impact of compassion and connection. I am more than a professional; I am a guide, a listener, and a beacon of hope.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During your first psychotherapy session, you can expect a warm and welcoming environment where I will introduce myself and explain my approach to therapy. The session will begin with a discussion about confidentiality to ensure your comfort and safety. I will ask questions about your background, current concerns, and what led you to seek therapy, helping to assess your needs and goals. You'll have the opportunity to discuss what you hope to achieve in therapy and clarify any questions or concerns you may have. By the end of the session, I will outline the next steps and schedule future appointments, setting the stage for your therapeutic journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, I bring a deep commitment to creating a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard and understood. My strength lies in my ability to establish strong therapeutic relationships based on trust and collaboration, which allows clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and challenges openly. I use an integrative approach, drawing on evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focus Brief Therapy, and person-centered techniques to tailor interventions that meet the unique needs of each individual.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a significant part of my practice. It is typically short-term, goal-oriented, and focused on the present. The core premise of CBT is that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and by changing negative or unhelpful thinking patterns, can improve emotional regulation and behavioral outcomes. During treatment therapist assist individuals to become aware of their automatic negative thoughts, and help the individual evaluate the accuracy of these thoughts. Unhelpful behaviors are addressed, individuals are taught healthy coping skills, SMART goals are set and relapse prevention is incorporated.

Grief Therapy

With over 4 years of experience working in Hospice Care, providing grief counseling and facilitating bereavement groups, my goal in grief therapy is to support individuals in navigating their grief in a healthy way, helping them understand and process their emotions, while also finding a way to continue living a fulfilling life after the loss.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

SFBT is an affective modality that I've utilized during to help individuals realize there ability to change and solve their own problems. . The primary goal is to help clients recognize and build on their existing strengths and resources to solve problems and achieve their desired future outcomes.
