I am a bilingual licensed clinical social worker and board-approved supervisor with 15+ years of experience. My focus is to address grief, adjustment, domestic violence, PTSD, depression, and anxiety. I enjoy guiding others in working towards their life goals by sharing a positive and motivating attitude. Therapy is a great tool for anyone that is needing the extra push to focus on increasing self-love and work on increasing self-care. I worked for the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley as a Clinical Associate Professor and AOP Field Coordinator for 2 years and previously to UTRGV, I worked for South Texas College, for over 7 years as Counseling Services Manager. Also, I had been teaching in higher education for 5 years and have done both in-person and online courses for Our Lady of the Lake University. I graduated from The University of Texas-Pan American in 2010 with a Master of Science in Social Work and obtained a Bachelor of Social Work in 2009. I am currently licensed as a Board-Approved Clinical Social Work Supervisor in Texas. I am also a Laughter Ambassador/Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher and work as a Clinical Supervisor for the Boys and Girls Clubs Youth and Family Support Services Program. I continue working with the community to increase mental health awareness and provide trainings to mental health professionals.
