Hi! I am Dr. Missy! I am a PhD Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been practicing for 17 years in in-patient and outpatient therapy settings. I work with kids/teens/adults/families/couples ages 10-99. I enjoy all ages and stages of life. I am an open-minded, positive forward thinker who enjoys being with clients and holding space for them to heal!
In the first session we will get to know each other. You will expect that I will ask questions about you and what brings you to therapy. After we have an overview we will then discuss treatment options and agree to continue our journey together.
Wow, what a question! After 17 years of counseling I have learned a great deal about myself. I am a highly intuitive person, this strength allows me to really sit with the client and understand their emotion without judgment and be open to helping them on their healing journey. I also am humorous, kind, empathetic, and easy to talk to. I believe that no matter how hard it gets, there is always a solution!
I love working with all different types of people! Human connection and communication is extremely important and allowing myself to sit with others in a human way is a powerful process. I love working with others who are open and want to make change in their lives and are open to heal.
