Do you have those annoying thoughts that ramble around your head all day and then keep you awake at night? Do you panic in social settings? Do you need afternoon and late evening sessions remotely? I love to work with adults with anxiety, depression, and general mood disorders. These issues are so prevalent and can sometimes seem to appear out of nowhere. Therapy and growth can be scary. Come take that first brave step with me. Don't worry about commuting to an office setting, we can meet online complete from the comfort of your home or anywhere that is private. I'm a creative therapist who likes to step outside the box. So much of growth happens outside of therapy as you continue to process what was discussed and learned in our sessions. I call this "growth work". I also believe that we have within ourselves everything you need to make your goals, by searching within, and having a therapeutic guide. Search Within. How would you know if you've met all of your therapy goals? What would that look like for you? What would be different? You deserve to live a full, happy life, be gentle with yourself. If you aren't afraid of doing the growth work, give me a call for a free 15 minute consultation to see if I'm the therapist to go with you on this journey. Hi, I'm Susan Ward, a licensed clinical mental health counselor from North Carolina. I have been practicing seven years with ages from four years old through to seniors, especially those struggling with anxiety and depression.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then move onto the specific challenges that led you into therapy. We will complete an intake worksheet and a therapy goals worksheet that will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through together in future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My experience in working with adults has afforded me the ability to find and use evidence-based treatments that will help you identify the root cause of your challenges and create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy is very effective in treating common disorders such as anxiety and depression. It trains your brain to identify and investigate your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that have led you to seek out counseling.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

You are the expert in your own life, you lead the general direction of therapy, and I am here in a non-directive role.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Let's focus on solution-building rather than problem-solving. How do your current circumstances affect your future hopes? You set the goal and I navigate your journey.
