I work closely with my clients and their therapists to develop a treatment plan best suited to their lives and resources. My goal is to provide a positive experience to help you find the balance with self care and self awareness.I strive to make your health care as cost-efficient as possible while delivering optimal psychiatric care. I am currently accepting new patients and accept various insurance panels and self-pay patients. I look forward to working with you and providing you with the best-individualized care! My philosophy is patient-centered, addressing the whole body, mind, social, and spiritual health and wellness.
First session
During our first session, my goal is to create a comfortable, supportive space where you feel heard and understood. We will spend time discussing what brought you in, your current concerns, and your goals for treatment. I will also review your mental health history, medical background, sleep, stressors, and any previous treatments or medications you have tried. This initial visit is a collaborative conversation. You will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share your experiences, and discuss what has or has not worked for you in the past. If appropriate, we may discuss diagnostic impressions and begin developing a personalized treatment plan, which may include medication management, therapy recommendations, lifestyle strategies, or coordination with your therapist. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of next steps and a plan tailored to your needs. My approach is warm, patient-centered, and focused on helping you feel supported as we work together toward improved mental wellness.
Strengths
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to combine strong clinical expertise with a warm, compassionate, and patient-centered approach. As a dual board-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I view each client holistically, addressing the connection between mind, body, lifestyle, and life stressors rather than focusing on symptoms alone. I am particularly skilled at creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being open and honest. Many of my clients appreciate my collaborative style—I take time to listen, educate, and involve you in every step of your treatment plan. I strive to ensure you understand your diagnosis, medication options, and practical strategies so you feel empowered in your care. My approach integrates evidence-based practices, including CBT-informed techniques, thoughtful medication management, and coordination with therapists when appropriate. I am attentive to detail, responsive to client concerns, and committed to adjusting treatment plans based on real-world results. Ultimately, my goal is to help clients experience meaningful symptom relief, improved daily functioning, and greater confidence in managing their mental health long term.
Ideal clients
I am best positioned to serve adolescents and adults who are motivated to better understand their mental health and are open to collaborative, patient-centered care. My ideal clients may be experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD symptoms, trauma-related stress, mood instability, sleep difficulties, or life transitions that are impacting their daily functioning and overall well-being. I work especially well with individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted but are ready to take meaningful steps toward improvement. Many of my clients are high-functioning individuals balancing school, careers, parenting, or major life changes who need both medication management and practical coping strategies to regain balance. I value working with clients who are open to learning new skills, engaging in self-reflection, and partnering in their treatment plan. Whether you are new to mental health care or returning for continued support, my goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we can work together to improve your symptoms, strengthen resilience, and enhance your overall quality of life.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I routinely incorporate CBT techniques during medication management visits by helping patients recognize cognitive distortions, challenge negative automatic thoughts, and develop more adaptive coping strategies. I also provide psychoeducation on the cognitive-behavioral model to enhance patients’ insight into the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. For patients with anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD-related executive dysfunction, and trauma-related symptoms, I often employ skills such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, exposure principles (when appropriate), and problem-solving strategies. In practice, I tailor CBT-informed interventions to the patient’s readiness, cultural context, and clinical presentation. I collaborate closely with therapists when patients are engaged in formal psychotherapy, reinforcing CBT skills between sessions to promote continuity of care and improved outcomes. My goal is to empower patients with practical, sustainable tools that enhance self-efficacy, symptom management, and long-term functioning.
