LPC, 7 years of experience
My name is Sarah Shaw, Licensed Professional Counselor. I truly enjoy working with my clients in helping them through some very tough issues. My greatest reward is when my clients discover their power and truly own it. I have experience working with adolescents, adults, singles, couples, grief, and anyone who needs assistance navigating our everyday lives. Let’s get started towards healing.
My clients can expect to get a listening ear on not only what’s being expressed, but the underlying message of what’s not being expressed. We go straight to the problem and then work our way to the root of the problem. My clients can expect to gain tools in dealing with issues so when they’re presented in the future, they’re better equipped to handle same.
I listen to my client and help them to walk through every layer of the issue. I don’t believe in solving the problem for my clients, but rather helping them through so they can get to the crux of the problem and thereby resolve same.
I work with the following: adults, adolescents, children, couples, singles, and anyone ready to navigate tough issues which life deals us.

Sarah was great! Very relatable, easy to talk to, good listener, and challenges us to make sure we doll the work and support us in any way that’s needed. Can’t wait to see her on our next appointment!

She allowed us to talk about the issues that bothered us the most and kept an open mind in understanding what was going on.

I loved our 1st session! I don’t know how she does it but she got my husband to open up! Something’s he shared I never heard before but I am okay with that! I am open to coming to resolve and I believe she can help us get there because he was so open with her. Thank you for everything !

This modality assist clients with getting to the foundational cause of the issue(s) which are negative affecting your life.
I truly enjoy working with couples. Sometimes individuals need to see and hear another perspective (neutral) and apply same into their marriage.
Christian counseling is very important to me, however I utilize when requested.
Having been a part of a blended family as the bonus mom has truly given me a perspective that other therapists do not have unless they've been through it personally. When our family had issues and I reached out to a therapist, I realized very quickly that no one truly understood the varying dynamics of our family's issues because they simply could not relate to all the intricacies of the varying emotions involved.
