New to Grow
Hi, and welcome! My name is Marcela, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. Thank you for taking the first step in reaching out for support. I know it isn't always easy to ask for help, and I'm glad you're here. I have experience working with adolescents and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, trauma, and emotional overwhelm. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can openly share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My counseling style is warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, and person-centered approaches, tailoring our work to meet your unique needs and goals. Together, we'll identify your strengths, develop practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. If you have any questions before we get started, please don't hesitate to ask—I want you to feel comfortable throughout this process. I am currently available for live sessions Monday through Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (Central Time). You are welcome to send messages at any time through the platform. While I may not respond immediately outside of my working hours, I do my best to respond as promptly as possible during my availability.
In our first session, you can expect a relaxed, supportive conversation where we'll get to know one another. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to achieve through counseling. I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and goals so we can develop a personalized plan together. There's no pressure to share everything at once—we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and my priority is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and understood. If at any time before our appointment you experience a mental health emergency or believe you may be in immediate danger, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency department, or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting **988**. Thank you again for choosing to work with me. I appreciate the trust you've placed in me and look forward to meeting you soon. Warmly, Marcela Gonzales, LPC
I provide a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported. My strengths include building strong therapeutic relationships, helping clients identify their strengths, and using practical, evidence-based strategies to foster meaningful growth and lasting change. My diverse experience in schools, community mental health, crisis settings, and telehealth allows me to work effectively with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, and self-esteem challenges.
My ideal client is someone who is ready—or even just beginning to consider—the journey toward healing, self-discovery, and personal growth. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I welcome individuals who are open to exploring their experiences and working collaboratively toward meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for them. We can navigate this together.
