Hello, My name is Lauren and I am a LCSW practicing in PA. I have expertise in treating addiction and various mental health challenges and believe in creating an empowerment and action based treatment plan with my clients. I have 10 plus years working within the social work field where I have specialized in mental health, addiction, medical social work and trauma. I also have experience as a professor teaching a variety of social work BSW and MSW courses. I love to be an active listener and support for my clients and create solutions together as a team.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, a client can expect introductions and a review of the presenting issue/challenge that has brought the client to therapy and completing an assessment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider my greatest strengths include my skill set, life experience (both personal and professional), non directive/authoritative communication, collaborative and create treatment planning and ability to actively listen to clients.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is utilized to treat anxiety, depression, addiction and a variety of other challenges as a way to track our thoughts, feelings and actions and realign these maladaptive or problematic thoughts feelings and actions with new positive and productive skills and patterns.

Integrative

Integrative therapy combines different therapy and treatment modalities to create the best treatment plan for an individual.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

I love DBT because integrates practice skills, life skills, and plans daily exercises related to chalenges an individual may be facing.

Motivational Interviewing

MI is one of the most effective forms of treatment, a non directive form of therapy that guides an individual towards diagnosing and creating solutions for their challenges.

Trauma Informed Care

It is important to implement trauma informed care into all treatment with any individual and to be aware of cultural competence and different experiences on a vast sliding scale of trauma that one may experience and the impact trauma can have on other challenges.
