I am a Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of Texas and National Board Certified Counselor. I aim to be open-minded and helpful as I learn about others and support them in a better quality of life. I am from Chicago, Illinois and graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, Master's of Science in Mental Health Counseling and Certificate in Contemporary Theory in Mental Health Services from Capella University while in Georgia.
My approach to counseling is Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I focus on listening to you and helping you connect your thoughts , emotions and behaviors.
Building rapport and making my clients feel heard and hopeful.
Talk Therapy where I navigate the conversation around your Thoughts, Emotions and Behaviors. Outside of conversation I will also use worksheets and video clips.
Using empathy, unconditional positive regard and meeting you where you are. You will have control over the frequency and focus of each session.
If you identify with Christian principles I will use spiritual and faith based methods to help with concerns like grief, trauma, communication, purpose and stress management.
If you are using EAP or need short term based therapy we will focus on the present concerns and how to move forward with coping and managing life.
