Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We will spend our first session getting to know one another by completing a thorough intake in which we will discuss your goals for treatment.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic approach is based on your needs and what you need help with moving forward. At any given time that can include both supporting and challenging you. I am able to do this in a non-judgmental way that fosters trust and encouragement.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve people who want to learn how to help themselves and stop beating themselves up. People who are active in their treatment and want to gain insight into their lives and behaviors.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As we participate in talk therapy, I become able to see patterns in how your thoughts affect your feelings and behaviors. Together we are able to identify cognitive distortions that can be holding you back.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Similar to and developed from CBT this treatment modality was created to help people better manage intense emotions. Along with learning to manage emotions more effectively, DBT also focuses on interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and mindfulness.

Psychodynamic

Discovering how your past affects your present can be eye opening. Through talk therapy we can uncover how past experiences may be negatively affecting your relationship with others and with yourself and develop healthier ways of relating and moving forward.

Strength-Based

Sometimes one can forget what their good at or their past accomplishments. Often people spend time beating themselves up over things that only keep them stuck instead of helping them move forward. This type of therapy can help one discover their strengths again.

Eclectic

Various theoretical approaches to therapy are used to tailor treatment specific to your needs and circumstances.
