New to Grow
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship concerns, identity exploration, and life transitions. My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and culturally responsive, integrating evidence-based practices with deeper insight-oriented work. I strive to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting change. Through therapy, clients often gain greater clarity, stronger coping skills, deeper self-awareness, and a renewed sense of direction and connection in their lives.
The first session is an opportunity to begin getting to know one another and to explore what brings you to therapy at this point in your life. We will discuss your current concerns, personal history, goals for treatment, and any questions or hesitations you may have about the process. My aim is to create a space that feels supportive, collaborative, and comfortable, allowing us to begin building a strong therapeutic foundation and identify what may be most helpful moving forward.
My greatest strengths lie in creating a thoughtful, empathetic, and compassionate space where clients feel genuinely understood and safe to explore difficult emotions and patterns. I combine practical, evidence-based strategies with deeper insight-oriented work, helping clients not only manage symptoms but also understand the underlying factors contributing to distress. I am especially attuned to cultural identity, family dynamics, and life transitions, and I strive to help clients develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and clarity that extends beyond therapy into everyday life.
I work best with adults who are seeking greater clarity, self-understanding, and meaningful change in their lives. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, identity concerns, life transitions, or the emotional impact of cultural and family expectations. I am especially well suited to work with individuals who are thoughtful, reflective, and open to exploring both present struggles and the deeper patterns that shape how they relate to themselves and others. My approach is collaborative and supportive, balancing practical tools with insight-oriented exploration. I also work well with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including those navigating acculturation, bicultural identity, or the complexities of belonging across multiple worlds.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, emotional responses, and behavioral habits that contribute to distress. In practice, I integrate CBT in a flexible, individualized way, helping clients build insight into the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while developing practical coping strategies. CBT is often used alongside deeper exploratory work to support meaningful, sustainable change.
Couples Counseling
I have experience working with couples navigating communication difficulties, conflict patterns, life transitions, trust concerns, and emotional disconnection. In couples counseling, I aim to create a balanced, supportive space where both partners feel heard and understood. My approach focuses on improving communication, increasing insight into relational dynamics, strengthening emotional connection, and helping couples develop healthier ways of relating to one another.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I provide culturally sensitive therapy by recognizing how culture, identity, family values, immigration experiences, and social context shape emotional well-being and relationships. I work collaboratively with clients to understand their unique background and lived experiences, creating a space where they feel respected, understood, and safe exploring concerns that may be influenced by cultural expectations, stigma, or acculturation. My approach is grounded in curiosity, humility, and individualized care.
Existential
I incorporate principles of Existential Therapy to help clients explore questions of meaning, identity, purpose, freedom, and personal responsibility. This approach is especially helpful during periods of transition, uncertainty, grief, or feeling disconnected from oneself. In practice, I support clients in reflecting on how they relate to their experiences, values, and choices, with the goal of fostering greater self-awareness, authenticity, and intentional living.
Eclectic
I take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from multiple evidence-based modalities to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. Rather than relying on a single framework, I integrate techniques from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, existential therapy, and insight-oriented work. This flexible style allows treatment to be tailored to the individual, supporting both practical skill-building and deeper self-understanding.
