LCSW, 5 years of experience
New to Grow
My name is Diana and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 12 years of experience working in the mental health field. I provide individual therapy to adults through telehealth, offering a supportive and collaborative space for growth and healing. My specialties include helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, healing from past trauma and inner child work.
I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, so in our first session, I focus on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings openly. I take time to explore the reasons for seeking therapy and gather background information about symptom history and behaviors. Throughout the process, I listen attentively, validate my clients' experiences, and offer consistent support, recognizing how challenging it can be to open up about personal matters.
My passion for social justice began during my undergraduate studies, where I felt inspired to make a difference in the world. Social work quickly became a natural path, allowing me to connect directly with people and support them in meaningful ways. I truly love the work I do, as it gives me the privilege of witnessing my clients' growth, progress, and healing. Being part of their journey is deeply fulfilling, and I feel both honored and grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside them as they create positive change in their lives.
I primarily work with young adults to middle-aged adults, supporting them through a range of challenges, including work-related stress, relationship and marital issues, inner child healing, and the cultivation of mindfulness and self-awareness. I help clients identify and reframe cognitive distortions, develop healthier behavioral patterns, and build emotional resilience. Additionally, I have extensive experience in helping clients process and heal from past trauma, creating a compassionate and empowering environment for recovery and growth.
I take a person-centered approach to therapy, placing great value on the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful growth. I strive to build rapport and trust through authenticity and transparency, creating a safe and supportive space for my clients. In treatment, I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy to help clients gain insight, develop coping strategies, and work through underlying patterns that may be impacting their well-being.
