Angela Campion
Hi, I’m Angela. I’m a licensed clinician with over 20 years of experience in healthcare, specializing in grief, substance use, and life transitions. I take a holistic, whole-person approach, helping clients draw on their strengths, passions, and hobbies—like fitness, creative projects, or other meaningful activities—to support healing, resilience, and personal growth. My goal is to create a collaborative, compassionate space where therapy feels practical, personalized, and aligned with what matters most to you.
First session
During your first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll introduce some foundational concepts and approaches we might use, and we’ll work together to create a collaborative plan tailored to your personal goals, strengths, and values. This session is about setting a comfortable, supportive foundation so that therapy is meaningful and aligned with what matters most to you.
Strengths
I bring a holistic approach to therapy, blending 20+ years in healthcare with my passions for fitness, crafting, and volunteering in hospice. I integrate creativity, movement, and meaningful hobbies to support healing and personal growth.
Ideal clients
I work with adults aged 21 and older who are navigating major life transitions, including grief, substance use challenges, and adjusting to chronic or acute medical conditions. With over 20 years in the healthcare field, I take a holistic, whole-person approach—supporting you in drawing on your strengths, passions, and hobbies to foster growth and healing. I love helping clients integrate what brings them joy and meaning, whether that’s fitness, creative pursuits like papercrafts, or other personal interests, into their journey toward well-being.
Treatment methods
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I incorporate mindfulness-based therapy by helping clients cultivate present-moment awareness, curiosity, and nonjudgmental attention to their internal experiences. Through practices such as grounding, breath awareness, and body-based mindfulness, I support clients in increasing emotional regulation, reducing reactivity, and strengthening their ability to respond intentionally rather than automatically.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I integrate core aspects of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into my practice by emphasizing skills that support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and effective communication. I take a flexible, client-centered approach—using DBT-informed strategies such as grounding exercises, values-based decision-making, and behavioral analysis—while tailoring interventions to each client’s goals, strengths, and lived experience. My work focuses on helping clients build practical skills they can use in real time, fostering both acceptance and meaningful change
Grief Therapy
I support clients through grief by providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to process loss at their own pace. My approach honors the individuality of grief while helping clients navigate emotional, relational, and identity changes, integrate their loss, and move toward meaning and healing.
