I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change. While I work as a full-time school counselor and part-time therapist, supporting others has always been at the center of my work. I have experience working with clients across the lifespan, from children to older adults, with a particular focus on adolescents and young adults. My approach is authentic, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that growth happens when we combine self-awareness with intentional action. I value healthy boundaries, prioritize self-care, and encourage clients to build sustainable habits that support their well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and determine whether we’re a good fit. We’ll spend time discussing your background, current concerns, strengths, and goals for therapy. During the first few sessions, I focus on building rapport and gaining a deeper understanding of your experiences before diving into more challenging topics. Together, we’ll create a plan that aligns with your needs and identify goals that feel meaningful and achievable. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I want you to feel comfortable moving at a pace that works for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often describe me as genuine, warm, and direct. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel supported, heard, and appropriately challenged. I bring accountability, curiosity, and compassion to each session. I pay close attention to patterns, remember important details, and gently explore moments when your actions, thoughts, or goals may not align. I also recognize the importance of silence and reflection, allowing space for processing when needed. My goal is to help you gain insight, build practical skills, and create meaningful change—all while bringing authenticity, warmth, and humor to the therapeutic process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adolescents and adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and personal growth. While I have experience supporting clients from diverse backgrounds, I have worked extensively with adolescents and young adults in school and community settings. I believe therapy is most effective when clients are open to self-exploration and willing to actively engage in the process. Change can be challenging, and growth takes time, but therapy can be a rewarding space to build insight, develop coping skills, and work toward meaningful goals. My role is to provide support, guidance, and practical tools while collaborating with clients at a pace that feels comfortable for them.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be impacting their daily lives. Together, we explore unhelpful thinking patterns, develop practical coping strategies, and build skills to support positive change both in and outside of sessions.

Faith based therapy

For clients who wish to incorporate their faith into the therapeutic process, I offer faith-based counseling that integrates spiritual beliefs and values in a way that aligns with their preferences and comfort level. Faith is never assumed or imposed but can serve as a meaningful source of support, healing, and personal growth.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My approach is grounded in person-centered therapy, which means I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. I believe clients are the experts on their own experiences, and I work collaboratively to help them identify their strengths, clarify their goals, and create meaningful change.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to help clients strengthen skills related to emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. I work collaboratively with clients to develop tools for managing difficult emotions, navigating relationships, and responding to challenges in healthier ways.
