Hi! I'm Mary. Are you struggling with feelings of overwhelm? Do you find it hard to see your self-worth in a positive light? Do you have difficulty functioning day to day because of your poor motivation or lack of ability to concentrate on tasks? I can help you improve your mental health. Together, we can identify your key issues and develop a treatment plan to help you get back on track. By addressing the needs of both your mind and body we will help you heal and grow. Seeking care for your mental health needs can be scary, but you are making the right choice. This will be a safe space for you to overcome the hangups and habits that are holding you back. I look forward to working with you!
In our first session together, we’ll start with introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you’re facing. By getting to know you and your specific challenges it will help me put together a plan tailored for you that we can work with in follow-up sessions.
I treat all diagnoses, but in the past, I have specialized in ADHD for both adults and children. I am very comfortable with medication management as well as therapy for ADHD. However, just because that is an area I specialized in does not mean that I cannot work with other diagnoses.
I don't know that I have an ideal client. I think my goal is to help each client that I meet get to the point that they would be the "ideal client" for anyone. I like to see progress and know that we are headed in the right direction, so I want a client that isn't afraid to speak up if things aren't working for them. It's your treatment plan and I want you involved.
I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to analyze your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to see if they are unrealistic or unhelpful and help determine the effect they have on each other as well as on you. It’s used to help you identify negative cycles and break down the things that make you feel anxious, scared, or angry. It is used to help you learn to manage powerful emotions.
This type of therapy is used to help you utilize your own skills and sense of purpose to guide you through difficult times. It helps you to externalize your issues rather than internalize them. We will work through the history of your problem, explore the effects of the problem in your life, and then discover unique outcomes.
