Therapy should be a place where you feel comfortable expressing the real you, not the serious, clinical persona you put on at the doctor’s office. In order to let your guard down, you need a professional that is equally willing to be authentic and open with you. My therapeutic approach is relatable and down-to-earth. Whether you’re navigating one of life’s many transitions (new babies, leaving the nest, job switches) or one of the many couples experiencing some bumps in the road, confusion, or tension, I’ll be holding the space for you to show up exactly how you are. The best part of my job is watching you flourish. After telling me your goals, we’ll collaborate on a treatment plan. I’ll highlight your strengths while also challenging any ways of thinking that keep you stuck. We’ll look at your life from a wide-lens and acknowledge the impact that your past and present stressors have on you and work together to overcome those challenges.
In our first session together we will briefly get to know each other, share some background information, and then I'll give you time to share what has brought you to therapy. Together we will process what issues and barriers are causing you to feel like you aren't being successful, then create goals and build on your strengths to move towards your vision for your future.
I have worked with both individuals and couples for 10+ years- there isn't anything that I haven't collaborated together to work through!
I love working with adults of all ages who are looking to problem-solve, decrease anxiety/depression and/or resolve conflicts individually or as couples.
Exploring our attachment styles can help us understand why we think and feel the way we do
CBT examines our thoughts and our behaviors to evaluate if they are healthy and if they are serving us. If not, we create goals to change them!
Sometimes we need an unbiased mediator to help us solve problems
No matter what challenges we are faced with, we always have strengths within ourselves and our circles to help support us
