I have been a licensed professional counselor for 15 years and focus on clients struggling with anxiety and depression or serious mental illnesses. Many of my clients struggle with work/life balance or transitioning into a new career or relationship status. In my practice, I feel like self-care is selfless. It is essential for most of us, but specifically for those of us who are caregivers or heads of family. I focus on helping my clients appreciate themselves for the warriors they are!
In your first session with me, I will gather as much information as possible, but in story form, not interview form. Together in session 1 and 2, we will develop tangible goals as well as emotional goals and set a course of action that works best for you.
I can see the strength and genius in every one of my clients. I am a positive and upbeat person and will always tell you the truth. My goal is to help my clients see their potential in all areas of improvement.
My most common clients are those who have been beaten down by career or life's anxieties and have lost confidence in several areas of their lives. We become shut off to possibilities and positivity and it's my job to remind my clients that it isn't over yet and this world is full of possibility. Anxiety and depression, worry and expectations simply box us in and we think we have nowhere to turn.
I was formally trained in CBT and utilize in in some way in combination with other treatment methods.

I was formally trained in Solution-Focused Therapy and utilize it with every client. It is important to set goals and to attempt to achieve them as benchmarks of improvement.
