I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and I provide comprehensive mental health care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, and personality-related concerns.
Through compassionate, collaborative care, I help clients improve functioning, build coping skills, and achieve lasting emotional well-being.
First session
In the first session, clients can expect a supportive, confidential conversation focused on understanding their concerns, symptoms, and goals. You will be asked about mental health history, current stressors, and any prior treatments or medications. Together, we will begin developing a personalized care plan, which may include diagnosis, treatment options, and next steps for ongoing support.
Strengths
I combine medical expertise with a holistic, patient-centered therapeutic approach. With advanced education in psychiatry, I am skilled in diagnosing mental health conditions, managing medications, and providing supportive therapy. My background emphasizes compassionate, collaborative care, allowing me to address both emotional and physical aspects of mental health. This integrated approach helps clients achieve symptom relief, improved coping skills, and meaningful, long-term stability.
Ideal clients
I serve clients across all stages of life who are motivated to improve their mental health and actively engage in treatment. This includes individuals managing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, or personality-related challenges, as well as those navigating stress, transitions, or burnout. Across all groups, the most successful outcomes are associated with clients who are collaborative, consistent, committed to building healthier patterns and long-term emotional well-being.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In practice, I use CBT to help clients identify negative thinking patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and make positive behavioral changes. Sessions are collaborative and focused on building tools that clients can use in everyday life to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.
Interpersonal
I use IPT to help clients identify how life changes, conflicts, grief, or relationship difficulties contribute to stress, anxiety, or depression. Sessions are supportive and goal-focused, helping clients build healthier interpersonal skills and stronger social support systems.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
During sessions, mindfulness techniques such as breathing exercises, meditation, and grounding skills are used to reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and increase self-awareness. This approach help clients manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and everyday stress while developing healthier coping strategies.
Motivational Interviewing
I use motivational interviewing (MI) to help clients explore and strengthen their motivation for positive change. My MI sessions use supportive conversations, reflective listening, and goal-setting techniques to help clients identify personal values, overcome ambivalence, and build confidence in making healthier choices.
Supportive
I provide emotional support, encouragement, and practical coping strategies to help clients manage life challenges and mental health concerns. I create a safe and nonjudgmental environment where clients can openly discuss their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. The goal of supportive therapy is to strengthen coping skills, improve emotional stability, and help clients build confidence and resilience in daily life.
