Hi! I am an LCSW licensed in Illinois. I have an MSW from Tulane University and a Doctor of Social Work from the University of California. My work takes a holistic healing approach, focusing on the intersection of mind and body in the healing process. My experience has spanned 10 years in working with individuals healing from trauma and grief and loss.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with some brief questions that will allow us to tailor our time together. This will also allow you to get to know me as a clinician.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Allow my experience in grief, trauma, and holistic healing practices to be your guide as you navigate your own healing.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use EMDR in a compassionate way to acknowledge the distress associated with trauma while providing a structured method to navigate and integrate these experiences. I assist clients in identifying and processing specific memories, while promoting healing and reducing the emotional charge attached to traumatic events. Overall, I use EMDR in therapy to empower individuals by helping them to reprocess traumatic memories in a supportive and compassionate therapeutic environment.

Mind-body approach

Using a mind-body approach, I recognize the interconnectedness of mental and physical well-being. Techniques may include mindfulness, breathwork, and body awareness exercises to help clients connect with their emotions and body sensations. Using this approach helps guide the understanding the impact of stress on the body, promoting relaxation, and cultivating self-awareness. It emphasizes holistic well-being.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Discover a path of positive change with CBT to help harness life's challenges. My approach focuses on assisting clients understand the thoughts, emotions and behaviors than influence their well-being.
