Welcome! I’m glad you stopped by. My name is Emily, and I am here to help. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can finally exhale — a place where you don’t have to perform, hold everything together, or navigate life’s challenges alone. I work with individuals who are moving through life transitions, relationship struggles, identity questions, or difficulties with self-worth and self-trust. Together, we create space to better understand the patterns, experiences, and emotions shaping your life, while helping you reconnect with a more grounded, authentic version of yourself. My approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply human, centered on helping you feel seen, understood, and supported as you grow.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a space for us to begin getting to know one another at a comfortable pace. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges or experiences you’ve been carrying, and what you hope to gain from the process. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say — you’re welcome to simply show up as you are. My approach is conversational, supportive, and collaborative. I want you to feel heard, understood, and emotionally safe as we explore your experiences together. The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share any concerns, and get a feel for whether the therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is the balance of emotional depth, insight, and genuine human connection. I believe therapy is most meaningful when people feel safe enough to explore their inner world honestly, without fear of judgment or pressure to be anything other than themselves. Since my work is grounded in humanistic therapy, I focus not only on symptom relief but also on helping my clients better understand themselves, strengthen self-trust, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and aligned. Clients often find that our work together helps them recognize long-standing patterns, develop greater emotional clarity, improve relationships, and build a more compassionate relationship with themselves. Rather than offering quick fixes, I aim to create a thoughtful and supportive space where lasting self-awareness, resilience, and personal growth can emerge naturally over time.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to support individuals who are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and struggles with self-esteem or self-worth. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, uncertain about their direction, or caught in patterns that no longer feel aligned with who they want to be. Some are seeking greater confidence and emotional clarity, while others are trying to better understand themselves, improve relationships, or move through seasons of change with more stability and self-trust. My approach is grounded in humanistic therapy, which means I view therapy as a collaborative, compassionate space where clients can feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. Together, we work to increase self-awareness, strengthen emotional insight, and support authentic growth in a way that honors each person’s unique experiences, values, and goals.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

We all have strengths and a level of resilience that can help us through everything life throws at us. I see my role as empowering my clients to tap into this. The strengths-based approach offers a focus on the power already within you and both how it has served you and how it can best help you moving forward.

Humanistic

I see the real person behind the 'problem' first. We all have unique perspectives based on our innate self as well as the perspectives we develop from our life experiences. I love to uplift my clients and help develop the clarity to see the innate needs that can drive life satisfaction and change. This approach works well for clients who are looking for a shift in their connection to life and themselves. This requires a lot of self honesty and motivation but the results are amazing and are so worth it!

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy is an opportunity to learn how thoughts influence feelings and behaviors. I show clients how to harness the power of change through learning how to change thoughts while experiencing relief from day to day patterns in feelings and life experiences hindered by worry and stress.

Psychodynamic

Our feelings are dictated by many things. I use this approach when clients are looking to dig deeper in prior influences to their emotional state so they can better understand how they can move forward, heal and grow.

Multiple major family losses, and family dynamics surrounding it, lead me to find help. It's not easy for me to reach out. I wanted someone that had a holistic mindset. Someone that would challenge me to dig deep. Had grief as a major aspect of her practice, She is solution minded, very authentic individual. She has a kind heart and a good ear. She challenges me without adding stress . Would absolutely recommend Emily.

I find her very easy to talk to, she listens and helps me see life after the loss of my husband. She reassures me that grief has to be experienced and those around me and my son will have to respect the changes that come with this Holiday.
