Hi! I’m Emily. My vision is for all people to see their innate ability to work through life’s hardships. My passion is working with people to find this ability to heal and grow. You may be navigating short term transition or long term unresolved needs in anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, work/life balance or other life experiences you may feel “stuck”. I would love to work with you and see, together, how you can reach your full potential!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be focused on getting to know each other and giving you the space to share your needs and goals. We will work together to make your plan for healing and growth and my gentle approach will give you the space to move forward at your pace.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Compassion and empathy are core values that drive my work. It helps me be in tune with the needs of others and maintaining the care to help others grow.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have walked with my clients through life change and helped them to develop tools for healthy coping and to resolve issues with life transition, aging, grief, relationship issues and coping with issues like anxiety and depression that can sometimes accompany these experiences.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

We all have strengths and a level of resilience that can help us through everything life throws at us. I see my role as empowering my clients to tap into this. The strengths-based approach offers a focus on the power already within you and both how it has served you and how it can best help you moving forward.

Humanistic

I see the real person behind the 'problem' first. We all have unique perspectives based on our innate self as well as the perspectives we develop from our life experiences. I love to uplift my clients and help develop the clarity to see the innate needs that can drive life satisfaction and change. This approach works well for clients who are looking for a shift in their connection to life and themselves. This requires a lot of self honesty and motivation but the results are amazing and are so worth it!

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy is an opportunity to learn how thoughts influence feelings and behaviors. I show clients how to harness the power of change through learning how to change thoughts while experiencing relief from day to day patterns in feelings and life experiences hindered by worry and stress.

Psychodynamic

Our feelings are dictated by many things. I use this approach when clients are looking to dig deeper in prior influences to their emotional state so they can better understand how they can move forward, heal and grow.
