10 years of experience

I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Sana Counseling & Wellness Services LLC. I have a decade of experience in the mental health field and specialize in providing evidence-based therapy approaches to help women overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, and other life stressors. I have a passion for leveraging both my education and clinical experience to support my clients in reaching their goals. I have a wide range of experience working across the lifespan with individuals, groups, and families with a variety of challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I believe that the relationship between a client and their therapist is fundamental to making the progress they want to see and I approach treatment as a partnership. I strive to create a safe space filled with empathy, trust, and mutual respect. In our first session together, we'll start building our partnership simply by getting to know each other and diving into the specific challenges you're facing. My goal is to get to know you and develop a clear understanding of who you are, what brings you to treatment, and how I can support you. Together we will create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. Let's work together to shed the weight of expectations, pressure, and shame and get you where you want to be.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I do not believe in a "one size fits all" approach to therapy and am committed to working with my clients to tailor treatment to their individual needs, goals, and personality. I use a blend of traditional, holistic, & evidence-based practices to help clients work through problems, learn healthy coping skills, and get to know themselves better. I invite you to take a leap in beginning our journey together towards building a more fulfilling, balanced, and authentic life by scheduling an appointment with me.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Your thoughts have the power to control your emotions and ultimately your reactions and behavior. During CBT, you will learn to identify thinking patterns in your everyday life that are causing painful emotions or other problems. Then, by developing new thoughts, you will learn to change how you feel.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

“Dialectical” means combining opposite ideas. DBT focuses on helping people accept the reality of their lives and their behaviors, as well as helping them learn to change their lives, including their unhelpful behaviors. DBT is especially effective for people who have difficulty managing and regulating their emotions. Developing skills such as mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance can help people learn healthier ways to cope.
