I am a Licensed Family and Marriage Therapist (LMFT) with a background in trauma and I understand the profound impact trauma can have on emotional well-being, relationships, and daily life. My therapeutic approach is integrative, blending techniques such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy), and EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy). I received my Masters from the University of Phoenix and have been practicing for 15 years.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then discuss the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is used in therapy to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences, distressing memories, and negative beliefs. It is an evidence-based approach, particularly effective for PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related disorders.

I saw that she had very trauma focused training and good reviews. I like that she has experience and has multiple modalities she can use in treatment sessions.

Vanessa is a wonderful therapist. I've been growing a lot with the EMDR interventions we have been utilizing in sessions. I appreciate her eclectic skills during sessions as well. She is able to bring in CBT, EFT, IFS and other interventions to help me with my mental health recovery. I highly recommend her for those who want to work through trauma, anger, or other mental health problems!
