Therapy can be intimidating to many people. I don't believe in having a "diagnosis" in order to justify therapy... there are benefits to even the most mentally strong. Much like cars need a tune up, people need to often make mental health a priority! Whether it be a major life change, difficulty in relationships, or feeling like something is missing... I am here to listen, help, and support you through your journey. With experience in helping small children to the young at heart, I tailor my work to meet each client's individual needs. I look forward to working with you! Thank you for sharing your life with me.:)

First session

Clients are welcomed to the therapy space by me and are encouraged to ask as many questions as they have. I will be inquiring about your history and your goals at this point, and ask questions to gather background information. Though it may seem irrelevant, it can be very helpful to explore the bigger picture and context about your life in addition to what you perceive is the challenge(s) you would like to focus on. I will explain my approach in our work together, and through thoughtful discussion, we can build rapport as well as see if our work would be a good fit for you. If you decide that you would like to seek another therapist, we can talk about resources to do that. I encourage you to find a clinician that is a good fit - even if it’s not me! Your best interest is my top priority.

Strengths

I would say that I genuinely care for my clients and their well-being. As an empath, therapy is more than a profession to me. It’s a gift I receive every time I am able to connect with my clients. It is an honor to be able to be trusted with their deepest thoughts and concerns. All of my clients have touched my heart, and I will always remember those I have worked with/ work with.

Ideal clients

I am highly experienced with high functioning younger and middle aged adults who need support with anxiety/ depression/ grief/ family conflict in their everyday life. I have worked with kids as young as 3 years old to the young at heart well into their senior years. Our connection is more of a supportive/ collaborative relationship than client/ clinician. I am here to help guide you on your journey and meet you where you are. Working together is something I look forward to! Thank you for giving me the opportunity. :)

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We will work together to challenge unwanted thoughts and patterns to improve your quality of life.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

It’s important to recognize how our cultural background and traditions may affect us. I strive to be mindful of this in our work together.

Family Therapy

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, there is significance to identifying dynamics and patterns that you had growing up and still might be present actively in your life.

Psychodynamic

Our experiences from our past can be so deeply rooted. Working together, we will explore and examine them as they may continue to be impactful in your life.
