In the first session, I seek to learn what brought a client to meet with me, understand their goals for treatment, and work together to make a plan for treatment. It is important to understand goals according to the individual and tailor treatment to motivate authentic change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am very optimistic, hard-working, and empathetic. I work to understand people without judgment. I believe people do the best they can with what they have and have lived through. I believe everyone can make changes and improve their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have lived in the Midwest throughout my life, but I believe the human experience can be relatable in how people navigate difficult situations, trauma, and relationships. I work diligently to understand and relate to each client I have the privilege to work with. I believe being invited to walk with people through challenging times in their lives is a great honor and responsibility.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I tailor treatment to each individual, couple, or family. I have been using CBT with clients throughout my career, while adding in other techniques and theories that help to meet each client's needs. CBT has good results across a multitude of client bases and over the years since it's development.
