I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, huge self care advocate, Wife and Mother. I have been in private practice since 2015 providing individual mental health counseling for individuals as young as 6 up to adulthood , but has been operating in the mental health field since 2011. I encourage my clients by being a beacon of hope and change, while empowering them to be bold in their pursuit for change. I meet all my clients where they are and 'walk" beside them on their mental wellness journey.
Clients can expect to be treated with Empathy, Love, and Care; while also feeling like a person and not a number. The client can also expect for me to get to them holistically; to understand their current presenting concerns.
I focus much attention on rapport building and creating a safe space, I do a good job at empowering my clients and challenging them at the same time in a healthy way, and affirming my clients in many ways.
I love working with BIPOC population; who are eager to change and desire a different way to approach hard situations or experiences. I also enjoy supporting those individuals who are wanting to learn more about themselves and their behaviors and experiences. My ideal client is able to talk about what they would like to be different about themselves when therapy is done, and are motivated to do something different from what they are used to doing to yield a different outcome.
This brain-body modality is one that I have used since 2021, I will implement this modality when necessary, typically for individuals who deal with any issue that they are facing.
I use this modality often; when addressing Anxiety, Depression, Relationship issues, and Adjustment issues.
I use this often in my practice, to make connections with a client's past self or past experience(s) with how it impacts them presently.
This is a focus in my practice for clients who have experienced trauma in their life; via psychoanalysis and talk therapy, I help uncover some "unfinished business" from the past or even present.
