Welcome All, Do you ever find it challenging to show yourself the love you truly deserve? Are you constantly pouring into others, leaving your own cup empty? Saying no when you're drained seems impossible? And does the idea of improving your mental health make you feel judged? I get it. It's tough to turn these thoughts into actions. That's where I come in. I empower people of all ages to prioritize self-care and self-love. Self-love, especially focusing on mental health, is a journey we all need to embark on. We must stop giving from an empty cup and learn to care for our mental and physical well-being before sharing ourselves with others. I'm not here to offer "magic pills" that make worries disappear. Sometimes, stress overwhelms our minds and bodies, and medications become necessary. I'm here to guide you toward a better path, providing support in all aspects of life—whether through medication assistance, therapist connections, or just offering a listening ear. I'm a dual-certified FNP/PMHNP with 10 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner and 13 as an RN. My career has been diverse, with a focus on primary care, mental health, and surgical experience. I was drawn to mental health early on, having struggled with my mental health in my teenage years. Therapists and psychiatrists played a crucial role in my journey, and I've made it a personal goal to destigmatize mental health. LGBTQIA individuals have a safe space with me—I'm a strong advocate for this community. I love meeting new people and digging into the root causes of their struggles. Viewing individuals holistically, I understand that various stressors can impact mental health. While I provide primary care and mental health services, I believe therapy and self-love are the key components, with medications serving as tools in your journey to mental clarity. I'm not just a provider; I'm your biggest cheerleader, pushing you toward a healthy mental state. What makes me unique is that I've been there—I know the fear of seeking help. I'm not here solely to prescribe medications; I'm here to be a valuable member of your support team. Having someone in your corner can be one of the best feelings in the world!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Hey there! In our first session together, I like to keep things relaxed and friendly. We'll kick things off by chatting about you – your story, your goals, and what brings you in. I want you to feel comfortable and understood. I'll also share a bit about myself, so it's not all one-sided. We'll discuss any concerns or questions you might have, and together, we'll start to map out a plan that works for you. It's all about creating a space where you can be yourself and feel confident that we're working towards your well-being. Looking forward to meeting you! 😊

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, I believe my greatest strengths lie in my ability to build genuine connections with my clients. I'm not just here to prescribe treatments; I genuinely enjoy getting to know each person on a personal level. My dual expertise as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) allows me to approach healthcare holistically, considering both mental and physical well-being. I also pride myself on my laid-back and approachable nature. I want my clients to feel comfortable opening up about their concerns, knowing they're in a judgment-free zone. Collaboration is key, so I work with each individual to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their goals and values. Lastly, my commitment to ongoing education ensures that I stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in healthcare, providing my clients with the best possible care. I'm here to support you every step of the way! 😊

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I'm here for a diverse range of clients, spanning all ages. I find that my background as both a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with a doctoral nursing degree equips me to connect with individuals and families from various walks of life. Whether you're a young adult navigating life's challenges, a parent seeking support for your child, or anyone in between, I'm ready to tailor my approach to meet your unique needs. My goal is to create a welcoming space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported, regardless of your age or background. Looking forward to being a part of your journey!

My treatment methods

Integrative

I provide integrative care by combining conventional psychiatric treatments with complementary therapies to address the full spectrum of my patients' mental health needs. This approach involves incorporating techniques such as mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and nutritional counseling alongside medication management. By fostering a collaborative and patient-centered environment, I strive to create comprehensive care plans that promote mental, emotional, and physical well-being, ultimately supporting my patients in achieving balanced and fulfilling lives.

Eclectic

As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certified in Lifestyle Medicine, I provide eclectic care by integrating traditional psychiatric practices with evidence-based lifestyle interventions. This approach allows me to address mental health conditions holistically, considering factors such as nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and stress management. By tailoring treatment plans to each individual's unique needs and lifestyle, I aim to enhance overall well-being and foster sustainable mental health improvements.
