Hi! I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist based in California and provide mental health therapy virtually. I can provide you a safe space to talk through your life's important issues. I'm warm, accepting, and down-to-earth. I love helping women who are chronic people pleasers and perfectionists and who have difficulty asking for help to find their authentic voice and lead a fulfilled and meaningful life. I see adults only for individual counseling at this time.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will share brief introductions, and I will ask you questions about any mental health symptoms you may be having. If you are using an insurance a mental health diagnosis will be needed. We will also discuss what you would like help with and what you would like to get out of therapy. We will make some goals and a plan for how to reach these goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I provide a safe space for individuals to come and talk about themselves and process things externally. I have excellent listening skills. As a therapist, I come from a gentle compassionate place and I invite you into self-exploration, self-reflection, and self-kindness. I sometimes use humor as it can be very healing. I like how my brain is different in that I am a think-out-of-the-box person and can help provide you a different perspective on your issues as well as creative problem-solving.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I'm a late-diagnosed person with a neurodivergent brain, and I love working with other individuals who may be early or late diagnosed with autism, or ADHD, and who may struggle with people pleasing and perfectionism. I help my clients who are trying to find their way with a late diagnosis. Examples of some issues to sort out: identity, disclosure, masking/unmasking, relationships, setting healthy boundaries.

My treatment methods

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Our inner world is made of different parts. Each part has its own specific qualities, desires, and intentions. Therapy can help clients to identify, related to, and understand their different inner parts.

EMDR

EMDR is a structured therapy that helps clients to process traumatic memories. Many clients feel "stuck" in the past and EMDR therapy helps to "unstick" clients from the past so they are no longer negatively impacted by the past.

Somatic

Somatic therapy focuses on the mind-body connection. Some clients may have difficulty realizing, noticing, knowing, or connecting to sensations and emotions in their body.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps clients to identify, dispute, and re-frame unhelpful thinking so that their mindset, behaviors, and overall well-being improves.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT therapy teaches skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness.
