Hello, I’m Noemi, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. My approach is collaborative and culturally sensitive, helping clients identify strengths, develop coping skills, and work toward meaningful change. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and behavioral concerns.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. I will ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and goals so we can develop a plan that meets your needs. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where you can share at your own pace, ask questions, and begin building a therapeutic relationship based on trust and collaboration.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring empathy, patience, authenticity, and a genuine commitment to helping clients achieve their goals. I believe each person has unique strengths, and I work collaboratively to help identify and build upon those strengths. My experience working with diverse populations allows me to provide culturally responsive care while tailoring interventions to each individual’s needs. I strive to balance support and encouragement with practical strategies that clients can apply in their daily lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

If you are facing life transitions, navigating anxiety, or stepping into the complex and meaningful role of becoming a foster or adoptive parent, therapy can offer a steady and supportive place to land. These experiences can bring up uncertainty, fear, hope, and everything in between. You don’t have to sort through it alone. I have supported individuals, families, reunification cases, and foster and adoptive parents through a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. Whether you are adjusting to a new family dynamic, managing stress, or working through past experiences that are resurfacing, this is a space where your story is welcome. My therapeutic approach integrates attachment‑based therapy, CBT, and Narrative therapy, allowing us to work in a way that supports both your emotional needs and your long‑term growth. I also bring a culturally curious and sensitive lens to every session. You will be met with care, respect, and no judgment. My role is to listen, support you, and help you build the clarity and confidence you need as you move through this chapter of your life.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

I use attachment‑based work to help clients understand how early relational experiences shape their current emotional patterns, relational expectations, and coping strategies. The treatment focuses on strengthening the client’s capacity for secure connection—with themselves, with others, and within the therapeutic relationship.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I begin by understanding the client’s concerns, symptoms, and daily functioning. Together, we define specific, measurable goals—for example, reducing panic attacks, improving sleep, or managing negative self‑talk.

Narrative

I use this treatment method by first checking in with the client to understand what has been most present for them since our last meeting. From there, I guide them into the core steps of the approach, helping them explore their thoughts, emotions, and physical responses as they arise in real time. I offer structure when needed—such as identifying patterns, practicing new skills, or processing difficult experiences—while also allowing space for the client to lead with what feels most important. Throughout the session, I maintain a collaborative stance, helping the client make connections, try out new strategies, and reflect on what shifts for them. By the end, we identify key insights and choose one or two practical steps they can carry into the week, ensuring the method supports both in‑session growth and real‑world change.
