Hello there! My name is Sarah. Do you find it hard to get out of bed in the morning, have low energy, and low motivation? Is it hard to find joy even in the things you would normally enjoy doing? Do you constantly worry or have fears that hold you back?

With experience in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, my biggest strengths are the treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, psychotic disorders, OCD and trauma.

Or maybe you find yourself struggling with frequent unwanted thoughts, checking things over and over or have compulsions you cannot control? You do not have to face this alone. I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who believes that mental healthcare should be provided with an understanding of and respect for the beliefs and values of each patient. I specialize in treating individuals with OCD, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, Trauma and other mental health disorders. Together, we can formulate a plan to help you overcome these struggles and get you back to a space of mental wellness. I will meet you where you are, and use evidence-based techniques so that you can overcome the things holding you back. Let's work together!

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I regularly incorporate the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my clinical practice, particularly during medication management visits. While I do not provide formal, ongoing psychotherapy, I am well-versed in CBT techniques and use them to support symptom reduction and enhance patient engagement in treatment. I often integrate brief CBT-based strategies such as identifying cognitive distortions, encouraging behavioral activation, and teaching basic coping skills to help patients better understand and manage the relationship between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. These tools are especially helpful for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, or trauma-related symptoms. When more structured or intensive therapy is indicated, I refer patients to licensed therapists who specialize in various therapy modalities. Incorporating these techniques allows me to provide more holistic care, support patients in developing insight and skills, and bridge the gap between medication management and therapeutic progress.
