Hi there! I'm Katee! If you were to ask my clients to tell you about me, they would say I am extremely easy to talk to, very bubbly, down to earth, and relatable. I have been in this field for almost 8 years and have lots of experience working with those struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, family relationships, and other co-occurring conditions. I come from a place of total support and honesty with zero judgment.
First sessions can be hard because we are new to one another. That's totally ok! The whole point of therapy is finding a provider who can you trust to listen to you with acceptance of who you are as an individual and without judgment. During our first appointment, we will take some time to get to know one another. I will ask a variety of questions to learn a little more about what's going on in your life, what goals you hope to achieve, what has worked for you in the past, and what hasn't worked at all. Following sessions will be geared towards processing life stressors, positive life events, and progress towards achieving your goals and changes you want to see happen in your life! Don't overthink it or feel like it has to be super formal because it doesn't! We will make this 100% comfortable for you and completely aligned with your personal goals in a relaxed and safe environment.
As someone who has been in this field since 2016, I have figured out several ways to think outside of the box when it comes to helping you achieve your goals. Sometimes we think we have tried absolutely everything and have no options left. I have a knack for helping you really narrow down the foundational cause of why you are struggling and create a plan for making changes that you can actually see, one step at a time. My goal is to help you reach your goals and live a happy and fulfilled life. If you aren't there then the work isn't done. Whether you need support with family relationships, a job, or simply feel "off" and can't figure out why you feel the way you do, I can support you through all of it and help find a way to work through it. Thoughts control feelings and feelings dictate behaviors. Lets stop those negative thoughts in their tracks so they can't impact your feelings and change your behavior!

For me, Mindfulness is the practice on being fully present and engaged in the moment. In therapy, mindfulness can be integrated into many areas of your life to help enhance emotional regulation, reduce stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms, and improve overall mental well-being.
I have been using CBT for over 8 years now. Using this method, we will work together to identify and challenge negative thoughts with an ultimate goal of changing behaviors that lead to a happier, healthier, and more fulfilled life!
