Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Bachelor's degree in Integrative Studies from Arizona State University, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Messiah University. In addition to clinical training and experience, I bring more than 15 years of experience working in the wellness field, offering a holistic perspective that integrates mind and body in the healing process. I will provide a warm, and supportive environment where clients can explore challenges and work toward meaningful change. I believe in meeting clients where they are and moving at a pace that feels comfortable while helping them build insight, resilience, and confidence. I have experience working with individuals ranging in age, who have faced anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder. My goal is to offer a safe, judgment-free space where you can show up exactly as you are. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and committed to supporting clients in their identity, relationships, and personal growth without fear or judgment. My approach to therapy is eclectic and tailored to each client’s needs, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, being active, and attending live music events.
During the first session, we will talk about what has been going on in your life and what led you to seek counseling. This is also a time for you to ask questions and begin identifying goals for therapy. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, supported and understood as we begin the process together.
My greatest strengths are my ability to help clients feel heard, understood, and supported. I work collaboratively with clients to help explore challenges, build on their strengths, and develop strategies that promote healing and personal growth.
I work best with individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of who they are or where they're headed. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, overthinking, relationship challenges, or feeling that they are not "good enough." You may find yourself wanting change, but unsure of where to start, or maybe feeling frustrated that you keep falling into the same patterns. You're open to self-reflection, even if it feels uncomfortable at times, and you're ready to better understand yourself and create meaningful change.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-Focused Therapy helps clients'identify their strengths and focus on practical steps toward the future they want. Rather than staying stuck in problems, the approach emphasizes building solutions, increasing confidence, and creating meaningful change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps people understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. By learning to recognize and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, clients can develop healthier ways of coping and responding to life's challenges
EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy that helps the brain process difficult experiences so they. no longer feel as overwhelming. Many people find that past events continue to impact their thoughts, emotions, and reactions in the present. EMDR helps the brain reprocess those memories in a safe and structured way, allowing clients to reduce distress, gain new perspectives, and feel more at peace. EMDR is commonly used to treat trauma, PTSD, and anxiety.
