In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During the first session, we will talk about what has been going on in your life and what led you to seek counseling. This is also a time for you to ask questions and begin identifying goals for therapy. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, supported and understood as we begin the process together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths are my ability to help clients feel heard, understood, and supported. I work collaboratively with clients to help explore challenges, build on their strengths, and develop strategies that promote healing and personal growth.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to better understand themselves and work toward meaningful change. Many of the people I work with struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions or relationship challenges, and are looking for a supportive space to process their experiences and build healthier patterns.
EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy that helps the brain process difficult experiences so they. no longer feel as overwhelming. Many people find that past events continue to impact their thoughts, emotions, and reactions in the present. EMDR helps the brain reprocess those memories in a safe and structured way, allowing clients to reduce distress, gain new perspectives, and feel more at peace. EMDR is commonly used to treat trauma, PTSD, and anxiety.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-Focused Therapy helps clients'identify their strengths and focus on practical steps toward the future they want. Rather than staying stuck in problems, the approach emphasizes building solutions, increasing confidence, and creating meaningful change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps people understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. By learning to recognize and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, clients can develop healthier ways of coping and responding to life's challenges
