My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an approach for which there is ample scientific evidenced. Psychological problems are based in part, on faulty or unhelpful ways of thinking, or learned patterns of unhelpful behaviors. CBT helps client learn better ways of coping with them. CBT is goal oriented and problem focused. CBT involves collaboration and active participation. I do emphasize what is going on in the person's current life, rather than what has led to their difficulties.

Eclectic

My approach combines Solution Focused, Client Centered, Trauma Focus (T-F CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Exposure Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and strengths based drawing heavily from Cognitive Behavioral Theory.
