My name is Peter. I concentrate on providing outpatient Psychiatric care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients. My specialization lies in the evaluation and treatment of psychiatric conditions including ADHD, OCD, PTSD, depression, mood disorders, anxiety, panic disorders, personality disorders, bipolar, and schizophrenia spectrum illnesses. I like to focus on a holistic approach that combines medication, psychotherapy, and lifestyle changes that underline the interconnection of mental and physical health. Most importantly, I treat my clients like do my family. I listen carefully, ask enlightening questions, and foster a relationship in which you feel comfortable, respected, and heard.
First, I take the time to get to know you. We discuss your past medical and psychiatric history, then we focus on the problem at hand. As we work toward a diagnosis, I will take the time to explain symptoms, treatment options, risks, benefits, and alternatives. I encourage clients to take an active part their treatment plan. I will provide you with my recommendations, however I will not proceed with a plan that you are not comfortable with or do not understand fully. So if you are looking for a more integrative, personalized approach to mental health, I am here to support you.
I would list my bedside manner as my greatest strength. I always treat my clients like family. I often hear that I provide more clarity than any provider my client has seen before. I am a problem solver. I pride myself on thinking outside the box, focusing on uncovering the root causes of issues through a holistic approach. My duty is to help you achieve your mental health goal in the most streamlined way possible.
My ideal client is one that takes the initiative to reach out for help. To me, this signifies that you recognize a concern and are willing to explore treatment options. Throughout my career in healthcare, I took special pride in my approach and ability to solve problems. My ideal client has a similar goal in mind; to identify and solve a problem. We will work together to overcome any barrier that stands in the way of becoming your best self. Because at the end of the day, I am here for you.
Humanistic
The humanistic therapy approach focuses on the importance of individuality and self awareness. We are all unique. To embrace this truth is to allow yourself to live free. I engage my clients to explore their strengths, their flaws, and their aspirations of self. As a prescribing provider and medication management specialist, I realize that medication is only an adjunct. It is equally important to explore what makes us feel and behave the way we do. I like to focus on developing and improving self-awareness as well as the awareness of your environment past and present. To improve key components of one's ability to function with respect to improving self-esteem, managing stress, ability to self soothe and develop coping skills that are needed to lead a full and healthy life. It is only when we uncover our authentic selves, that we can develop a sense of harmony and clarity about our journey.

During our session I sensed a strong curiosity with where I was at with my life is now, my current goals and that he was going to guide and help me to succussed. From the beginning of the session I felt an easiness , caring comfort and left me with a real strong sensation of hope. I look forward to be working with Peteras our work together will be exciting.

I felt comfortable and heard the moment our appointment started. Peter took the time to listen to my concerns, issues that I've had with meds and providers in the past, and came up with a treatment plan that I felt a part of. I would highly recommend Peter, and, as a mental health professional myself, I already plan to add him to the top of my referral list!
